Seabright Beach Club Parking Lot Now Open ONLY to Members

May 8, 2020

I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy.  This morning, Clay blocked off our parking lot and posted signs indicating that our parking lot was closed.  Apparently, overcompliance works.  Sea Bright’s Office of Emergency Management called to say that we can now open our lot to members as long as we prevent non-members from parking in our lot.  Effective immediately, our parking lot will be open only to members.  Our club premises, boardwalk and playground area remain closed.

If you want to walk on the beach, you can park in our lot and use our north entrance to access the beach.  We ask that you do not congregate on the beach in front of our club.  As I mentioned in yesterday’s email, the New Jersey State Police are conducting routine fly-overs.  Sea Bright’s Office of Emergency Management has told us that the State Police do NOT want to see people congregating on our boardwalk or beach area.  What does that mean?  It means that you should feel free to use our beach to take a walk, but please do not bring chairs and sit down on our beach.  I appreciate the irony of that.  However, I continue to believe that overcompliance now will pay off later as we work with state and local authorities to loosen these restrictions.

Finally, please be sure that you have your parking sticker on your front bumper if you park in our lot.  We will have an attendant monitoring our parking lot and boardwalk to enforce these policies. Thank you for your continued cooperation – and, of course, your patience.
